Secures Five Green Label Indonesia Certifications, SCG Reinforcing Its Commitment to Eco-Friendly Innovation in Indonesia

Jakarta, xx June 2025 – SCG, through its subsidiary, Jayamix by SCG, has officially received Green Label Indonesia Certification from the Green Product Council Indonesia (GPCI) for five of its flagship products: Jayamix Decorative Concrete, Jayamix Easy Flow Concrete, Jayamix Fast Setting Concrete, Jayamix Normal Concrete, and Jayamix Waterproof Concrete. These five products have undergone a comprehensive verification and evaluation process conducted by GPCI, covering key aspects of responsible environmental management. The assessment examined the entire lifecycle of the products, from production and distribution to their performance and environmental impact in the field.

Through this rigorous and comprehensive process, Jayamix by SCG successfully achieved an impressive score of 91%, placing all five products in the Gold category, a significant achievement that reflects the company’s strong commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly business practices.

Warit Jintanawan, Country Director of SCG Indonesia, emphasized the company’s commitment to delivering environmentally friendly products. “Guided by the values of Set Net Zero and Go Green under SCG’s ESG 4 Plus sustainability framework, we remain consistently committed to providing high-quality building materials that not only meet market demands but also drive sustainable innovation to help preserve the environment in Indonesia. Receiving the Green Label Certification is a tangible manifestation of that commitment,” said Warit.

Green Label Certification Awarded to 5 SCG Building Products

In 2025, SCG, through its subsidiary Jayamix by SCG, once again reaffirms its commitment as a pioneer in the green infrastructure industry in Indonesia by successfully obtaining the Green Label Indonesia Certification for five of its flagship products, which are:

  1. Normal Concrete: High-quality concrete formulated based on the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and international references, intended for general structural use;
  2. Waterproof Concrete: Designed for high resistance to water penetration or low water permeability. Suitable for structures exposed to water or located in high-humidity environments, such as swimming pools and water tanks;
  3. Decorative Concrete: Various types of concrete designed for building structures that require decorative finishes, such as themed buildings, pedestrian areas, mall floors, parking spaces, and more;
  4. Easy Flow Concrete: Has easy-flow properties, making it easier to compact, more workable, and able to accelerate the overall construction process;
  5. Fast-Setting Concrete: Capable of bearing loads faster than conventional concrete, allowing for earlier formwork removal and enabling the structure to be used within 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, or 24 hours — depending on the urgency of the construction.

The company successfully obtained all five Green Label Indonesia Certifications with an impressive score of 91% (Gold), after undergoing a comprehensive audit and evaluation process based on the implementation of sound environmental management principles. The assessment covered various aspects, including energy efficiency in operations, responsible material management, and effective control of emissions and waste.

Since early 2025, SCG, through Jayamix by SCG, has undergone a series of rigorous verification processes conducted by an independent institution authorized to issue Green Label certifications in Indonesia, Green Product Council Indonesia (GPCI). These certifications apply to all five products, which are marketed nationally and have been used in various construction projects across Indonesia.

President Director of SCG Readymix Indonesia, Tirayot Thamwongsa, also reaffirmed the company’s vision in driving green product innovation within the national construction industry. “We hope these five products, now certified as green products, will create a wide-reaching positive impact for various stakeholders who rely on high-quality, environmentally friendly concrete. Our commitment does not stop here. We will continue to deliver innovative products of the highest quality, without compromising on sustainability,” explained Tirayot.

Business Strategy to Enhance the Quality of Green Products

SCG’s success in obtaining the Green Label Indonesia Certification is not merely a technical achievement — it is a recognition of the company’s long-term strategy to strengthen its position in the national infrastructure industry. Amid increasingly complex industry challenges and rising demands for sustainable development, SCG, through Jayamix by SCG, remains steadfast in its ambition to be part of the solution. The company is committed not only to complying with existing regulations but also to taking more progressive steps by introducing innovative, environmentally friendly concrete products. This commitment also reflects SCG’s tangible contribution to supporting Indonesia’s Net Zero Carbon target by 2060.
